After Budva, London, Manchester and Bristol, it was time to leave the city and head to the countryside. Digital Cities project participants took part in an intensive bootcamp at Mokrin House, the first and most advanced rural hub in the region.
During their three-day stay, over 40 participants from the region had the chance to explore current trends, working together with prominent experts from the international digital scene. Numerous lectures and workshops covered topics such as entrepreneurship in 21st century companies, digital product management, team culture, strategic marketing and digital business development, development and mapping of digital communities, and blockchain detection. In addition, the participants who had already started the collaboration with the UK partners got the chance to prepare for the implementation of their joint projects.
The bootcamp was opened by Habib Lešević, a visiting professor at Cass Business School and Royal College of Arts in London, who gave a lecture on entrepreneurship in the 21st century. Distinguished speakers such as Lazar Džamić, a representative of the Faculty of Media and Communications from Belgrade, Yiuwin Tsang, from the UK company Disruptive Thinking, Nana Radenkovic, co-founder of Nova Iskra creative hub, and Jovana Tokić, a representative of Autheos studio from Amsterdam, shared their knowledge and experience and illustrated different approaches to solving problems in everyday work through specific examples.
Larisa Halilović, Digital Cities project director, said on this occasion: I am extremely proud of the success achieved by the project participants so far. The way in which they have interacted, established co-operation and shared their experiences and knowledge is truly inspiring. I am especially pleased with the fact that they will be able to apply the newly acquired knowledge in their everyday work and thus contribute to the further enhancement of the relations between Great Britain and the Western Balkans. These young people keep changing the world in which we live through their innovativeness and entrepreneurship and it is a pleasure to be the link that connects all of them.
Keep following the project here and on social media, as we will be sharing lessons learned in more detail.
